Today it is hot and the sun is shining. Yesterday morning it was freezing. No, I am not joking. This is the weather nowadays.
I asked my mother for her opinion. She said: “Oh, the weather used to be gorgeous. In the summer the sun was shining and we went swimming and on the other hand in the winter there was always snow and we could build a snowman.
I searched on the Internet and I found what I wanted.
We have been living in the warmest decade since 1850. Seasonal changes are enormous. The average temperature has increased about 0,4 - 0,6 ºC since the end of 19th century.
What are the consequences of the global warming? Extreme differences between seasons, glacier discharge, disappearance of primeval forests, temperature rise and I could keep on and on.
We might know these problems but do we think about them? In conclusion if we don´t do anything it will be worse. It is up to us!

How has the climate changed through generations in the Czech Republic during the 20th and 21st centuries (Tereza Kuželová, septima)
Yesterday I asked my grandparents: How has the climate changed during the last 50 years? Both of them waere quite suprissed and they had to take some time to think about it. They were thinking quite a long time. After little argumentation between them they finally answered.
My grandmother told me that when she was a young girl, the climate wasn't very different, but even though there are some little differences between the seasons a few decades ago and the seasons today. I wanted to know some examples, of course. She told me that winters in the 50s were quite colder and longer. Thé fallen snow was gorgeously white and its layers were a little thicker. There weren't so many cars in the towns 60 years ago. It's the main reason why snow lasted longer and it stayed bright white and clear. Today it lasts a few days and the bright snow turns into awful dirty snowbroth.
My grand father agreed and he said that even summer was a little different. He told me that summer days were more sunny and more hot. He said he didn't remember any summer as rainy as summers are today. I was very suprissed and I had to ask If he can imagine some reason of this! My grandfather smiled and said me it's because of global warming. Icebergs are melting and there is more and more water in the wather circulation. It leads to air humidizing which causes more often rain.
„And what about spring and fall?“ I asked. I was wondering if there are some changes in this seasons too. My grandparents started thinking back and then my grandmother said: „Sure, there are some little changes. But not so big.“ she sitted down on the sofa and she putted her glasses on the tabel. „You know, time has changed. Nothing can be the same after so many years. And especially weather! Weather is still changing and transforming and people can't recognise it in their lifes. One life is too short time. Changes are apparent after couples of years. I remember, that when I was young, spring started more earlier, because winters started more earlier too! In my opinion winters of today are abnormally length.“ „And what about fall??“ I asked very curiously. My grandfather sitted near her and he said, that in his opinion, falls are the only season of the year, which haven't changed at all.
When I came home, I was surfing the internet. I was searching for some informations about global warming. I know, that Czech president Vaclav Klaus doesn't believe in it and he says it's one big lie. I do not know what to think about it. I'm not a specialist. But according to my grand parent's telling I have to say, there must be something like global warning. I mean... some big climate change which runs for many many years and changes climate of the world every year a little. But the question is: Is that normal, or not? May be the climate of the world has changed or isn't it natural? Are the climate changes incurred by people's bad behaving?
Nobody knows. People are arguing about it all the time. You can read about these questions in the newspapers, you can hear about them in the television. Weather specialists and scientists are in this case totally helpless.
And what does czech president say about global warming?
„Case of global warming is bad priority. It's not about Celsia's degreeds, it's not about greenhouse effect or about iceberg's melting. It's all about people. About their bad behaviour toward nature. I don't believe in it and all discussions about this are useless.“
Well, it's really controversiall. Will anybody sometimes know the truth? I don't know.
